FAQ - Ape Atoll Agility Course

Q: What requirements do I need to meet to train on Ape Atoll?
You must have at least 48 Agility and have done the Monkey Madness quest in order to train at Ape Atoll. You must also have a Ninja Greegree.

Q: How much xp per lap at Ape Atoll?
A: 580xp.

Q: How long does one lap take?
A: A lap takes between 38-41 seconds on full speed.

Q: What is the average xp per hour?
A: The average xp per hour is:
-40k xp without energy pots.
-45 to 54k xp with energy pots.

Q: What is the recommended minimum lvl to start training on the Ape Atoll course?
A: A minimum lvl of 65 agility is recommended. If you are lower than 65 you will fall more often which can be frustrating. However, many people still start to run from lvl 48.

Q: At what lvl do I stop falling?
A: Lvl 75 Agility.

Q: Where is the Agility course?
A: South of the Ape Atoll city. Go south from food/rune/scimmy shop and pass the bridge. You will see the Agility Icon, this is Ape Atoll Agility Course.

Q: How do I get to Ape Atoll Agility Course?
A: There are two main ways to get to the course; the first one is the Grand Tree route, that you took during the Monkey Madness quest. Go to Daero (Grand Tree), then Waydar (Glider Hangar) and later to Lumdo (Crash Island) to get to Ape Atoll.
Then go to the gate in monkey form and go a bit south east.
The second one is simply using Ape Atoll teleport, which requires 2 law runes, 2 fire runes, 2 water runes, a banana and 64 Magic. Then head east to get to the course. Mind that you must have done the Recipe for Disaster - Saving Awowogei Quest for this.

Q: What do I need to bring to Ape Atoll?
A: These are the items that we recommend taking to Ape Atoll:
- Ninja Monkey Greegree
- (Super) Energy potions and maybe food when you are well below lvl 70 Agility.
- A knife when below lvl 70 Agility, pick and cut pineapples for food.
- Bring no armor, except for weight decreasing gear
(Boots of Lightness, Penance Gloves, Spotted/Spottier cape)
- Bring a teleport device (Amulet of Glory, Duel Ring etc.) [recommended]
- Anti poison Potion in case you are worried about the scorpions (they can't attack when you're a monkey).

Q: How do I get a ninja greegee for the course?
A: You need to kill an archer monkey or a big monkey, pick up his bones and buy a new talisman in the rune shop (it costs 1000 coins to buy one) and go to zooknock in the dungeon. He can make you a ninja greegree.

Q: Where can I find ninja monkeys?
A: You can find these monkeys here on Ape Atoll:
- Small/Archer monkeys : 2nd floor of food shop. Or range/mage/hally them on the poles.
- Big monkeys: Go to the storage room south of the rune/scimmy shop. At the middle of the room, turn into human, hide behind the crates right away and turn back to monkey. If you wait for a short time, a big monkey shows up to kill you, however the ghost gnome shows up and will kill it before it kills you. Pick up the bones.

FAQ - Potions, Food and Greegrees

Q: How long can I run with X Energy potions?
A: On a low weight outfit, you can run 30 minutes on 10 regular energy potions (4).

Q: What is better, Energy Potions or Super Energy Potions?
A: If you want to save money, buy Energy pots to your 99, normal energy pots will cost cheaper than super energy pots even though you have to make more trips to the bank. You will need around 4k normal pots (or 2k super energy pots) from lvl 80 to 99.
If you prefer to do it very very fast, Super Energy potions are recommended. It could also be a good idea to make your own potions, this saves money and gives decent Herblore exp.

Q: Can I take noted potions and swap them for unnoted ones somewhere?
A: There's a General Store on Ape Atoll where you can sell your potions when noted, and then buy back unnoted. Of course this costs a little more money so make sure you take some. Don't forget your M'speak Amulet.

Q: Do I have to keep full health?
A: No, actually it's better to keep your health around 20 HP, if you have little health you get hit less as hard as you would with full health.

Q: What is good food to train Agility with?
A: Cakes and tunas are good food, although for Ape Atoll taking just a knife is recommended over other kinds of food. Around Ape Atoll you can find Pineapple plants that you can pick, cut the pineapples and eat the slices, great free food.

FAQ - To your Agility goal

Q: How long to 99 Agility?
A: Even if you play 6 hrs a day it will take around at least ONE month to get to 99.
If you spend your whole life to train, you may get it for 3 weeks, but basically people have real life and many interruptions come to you, it will make you take at least 1 month even you train agility all the time when you play RS.

Q: How much energy will be used for one lap on Ape Atoll course? (weight below 0 Kg)
A: You use 8% Energy every lap, this means 100% energy can get you 12½ laps without drinking potions.

Q: How many super energy pots will need to get Agility 99 at ape atoll?

For the max speed…(1) dose will get you 1450xp (20% energy). So from lvl 92 to lvl 99, you will need 6517178 xp. That means you will consume about 1124 pots (4) or 1499 pots (3) for the MAX.

Q: What is a jinx and when can I get it?
A: Your first Jinx is coming when you get lvl 85-88. You just feel too bored to continue. Many people quit or take long break after this lvl.

Your second Jinx comes during and after 93 Agility. Many people have a long break after this lvl. We don't know why. But half of people who reached lvl 93 just leave and don't come back.
(93 is most chance of Jinx but it will depend on the person, it will happen at any lvl between 93-98 actually.)

FAQ - Training in groups

Q: Why training in groups?
A: Training Agility in groups makes the skill much more enjoyable because you have someone to talk with, someone to race with and someone to achieve with.
Unlike training, for example, Mining, Woodcutting or Hunter in groups, Agility isn't less beneficial while being trained in groups. People can motivate each other and therefore it's even faster than being alone.
